This programme will encourage and challenge you to develop your knowledge and skills in global procurement, logistics and supply chain management. It also examines the impact of changes in the regulatory and policy environment, and the effect of new technologies and techniques on current and future problems within the supply chain.

The MSc Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management is designed to prepare you for a range of careers in management, specifically logistics management, procurement management, supply chain management, inventory management, and transportation management.

During the course, you will develop your knowledge of best practice in purchasing, logistics and supply chain management, and enhance your understanding of the importance of business process and activity integration through our range of modules. These include including team-working, negotiation skills, leadership, confidence and the ability to apply critical and creative thinking to complex and unclear problems to develop innovative solutions.

RECOGNIZED BY CILT

This programme is one of very few in the UK that it is now accredited by  CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport). Students who graduate during the period of accreditation will receive an exemption from the academic requirements for membership at CILT. There may also be a reduction in the length of qualifying experience that would be required..

COURSE STRUCTURE – COMPLETE ONE UNIT EVERY 2 MONTHS

The program consists of four Core Units and a Capstone Project. The course is delivered using a unit delivery pattern; you will undertake one unit at a time for two months and that will be a unit of delivery. At the end of four units (8 months) you will progress to the master’s capstone experience stage where you will opt to complete either, a dissertation, a professional practice, or a live project unit. Each of these options will include an element of research methodology which is embedded within the unit.
