Course Description
Senior leaders in tomorrow’s health-care industry will be distinguished by more than experience alone. Their economic insight will be keen. They will possess an uncommon depth of self-awareness. And in everything they do, they will think and act strategically. More than ever before, healthcare needs business leadership for the new and rapidly evolving demands of the 21st century. Through this qualification, graduates will learn the principles of global business leadership and understand how to manage the complexities of leading the business-related aspects of the constantly changing healthcare sector.
Program Objectives
To develop relevant management and organization knowledge, both academic and professional, in line with the context of Healthcare Administration;
To critical reflection skills and engagement with organizational and professional theory to understand, and where appropriate, challenge existing individual and organizational perspectives and practices;
To develop, and where appropriate apply, new knowledge to add value by enhancing organizational capability and in the context of Healthcare Administration;
To develop an understanding of the organization’s strategic focus and environment and the impact of the inter-relationship between the organization’s resources and clients in a changing environment, particularly focusing on the environmental, social, ethical and financial dimensions of the health care sector;
To develop a commitment to continuous personal and professional development, independence and reflective learning and in the context of Healthcare Administration;
To develop expertise and understanding in the fields of business and management of healthcare, enabling a critical engagement with contemporary discourses that will promote a personal and professional reflection on leading changes in the healthcare sector.
