Diploma in engineering programme offers a pathway to enter into engineering career as Civil Engineers. Diploma Programme is designed for the students who do not enter into the A.L stream or did not take mathematics for their A.L. This qualification enables the students to enter to the second year of the Degree program. The duration would be 2 years, flexible mode. Students are also encouraged to follow NVQ L 4 Construction technology or Quantity Severing program simultaneously to gain exposure and to equalize their qualification to G.C.E A.L

The first year curriculum is delivered at a foundational level with engineering fundamentals stressed and reinforced across the curriculum. An abundance of learning opportunities is provided to practically apply these fundamentals to the solution of real-world design scenarios. Throughout, opportunities are presented to students to strengthen their graphical, written, and oral communication skills. A significant amount of time in the program is directly related to hands-on-training in material testing, surveying, and manual and computer-aided drafting, and instruction in the use of engineering software tools.

The Program, Bachelor of Civil Engineering Technology are aimed to provide knowledge – based technological services that satisfy the needs of society, industry and help in building national capabilities in science, technology, and research. Our graduates are well-rounded engineers with significant exposure to professional engineering practices, well-equipped to meet the challenges of the future, including those caused by climate changes and sustainability issues.
