Certificate Course in Phlebotomy

Results of all patient medical investigations primarily depend on how accurately a blood, urine or tissue sample is collected. However, currently there is no formal course in Sri Lanka that offers training for phlebotomists who play a crucial role in collecting these samples. This course is designed to train such staff employed by hospitals, laboratories or collection centers, as knowledgeable competent, skilled and compassionate phlebotomists. This program has been designed by qualified and experienced medical consultants in the laboratory field and will be conducted in a state-of-the-art center with modern technology.

Duration:             5 months

Lectures:             Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. for 5 months 

Practical:             After completion of the lectures, practical will be for 1 month  

Requirement:      Enrollment after O/Ls, Successful at G.C.E. (O/L) with a pass in English, up to the age of 55 years 

Charges:             Registration fee of Rs.5,000/=, Course fee of Rs.60,000/= (Initial payment of 40% Registration and balance to be paid in 3 installments)
