IT 1 – Business Information Technology

IT 1 – Business Information Technology is a compulsory module for all students at Business Level II to complete before they proceed to SL5 – Integrated Case Study. All students at this level are requested to complete IT 1 module along with the knowledge modules of Business Level II.

All students should complete the IT1 module successfully before obtaining the Certified Business Accountant (CBA).

Course Duration and Examination

This is an online course and students will be able to follow the course over a period of 2 months after obtaining access to the course.

On completion of 80% of the course content, student will be eligible to sit for the examination.

Registration

Online registration facility is available under the student profile of the CA Sri Lanka website.

To register online, please follow the guidelines given below:

1. Pay online using credit card, eZcash, mCash or
2. Make the payment to Bank of Ceylon using the CA Sri Lanka bank deposit slip or to the institute cashier counter.
   • Course Fee – Rs. 5000/-
   • Income Code – IT01
3. Upon successful payment, the student will be able to register online.
   Note: Students who have paid the course fees to the bank, should wait at least 48 hours before registering online.

Students who have successfully registered will receive an email (within 14 working days) from the IT Training Division with all information necessary to follow the course.
