BSc. in Travel and Tourism Management is a general degree program and the objective of this degree is to provide advanced and enhanced knowledge of recent development in Travel and Tourism. The courses are designed to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to apply in solving business problems. At the completion of this programme, the candidates will be able to fit into any managerial level job in the tourism industry.

The general degree can be obtained by completing 90 credits, including all the core courses, internship training and project work specified in 100, 200 and 300 levels.

The programme consists of compulsory courses. The courses are conducted on a course unit basis according to the common format developed by the University Grant Commission of Sri Lanka. From Semester I to Semester VI, all courses have been made Compulsory

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have one of the following qualifications:

a) Those who have passed GCE A/L examination with three (S) passes in any Scheme OR
b) Any other qualification of comparable standing recognized by UGC of Sri Lanka such as Edxcel / Cambridge with three passes And
c) All candidates should process a good knowledge in English.
d) Candidate should also have attained the prescribed minimum standard at the aptitude test conducted by the SLTC.
