Understanding the role of the Industrial and Manufacturing Management, and its impact on the organization is a vital role for all employees because manufacturing management includes almost all the value-added activities of an organization. Many senior and junior executives do not understand industrial and manufacturing functions. Many of them enter the organization through finance, marketing, accounting or human resources and build their reputations on work in these domains. When they moved into their first management role, they relied on others – factory managers, plant managers, engineers, technicians, and customer service leaders. Times have changed dramatically over the past few years. Organization structures are now flat and, rather than functionally organized, companies are now organized by customer and product groups. Today’s manager cannot ignore how the organization’s real work is done.

Therefore this program has been designed to give you a solid foundation in the major topics and tools of Industrial and Manufacturing Management. The program is conducted for one academic year on a part-time basis, covering more than 300 hours of classroom teaching and an independent research project component.
